What is Fami?+
Fami is a family organiser that works inside WhatsApp and Telegram. You forward it school notices, messages, photos, PDFs and voice notes. Fami reads the dates and details, shows you what it understood, and saves calendar events, reminders and tasks once you confirm them.
Do I need to install anything?+
No. Fami works in WhatsApp or Telegram, the chats you already use. There is no app to download, no account to set up in a browser and no dashboard to keep checking.
Will Fami add things automatically?+
It cannot see any of your other chats. You share what you want Fami to see, and nothing is saved until you confirm it.
Can Fami read a school calendar or a PDF?+
Yes. Send a school calendar, term planner, notice or activity schedule as a PDF, photo or screenshot. Fami pulls out the term dates, closures and half-days and turns them into dated calendar events and reminders, so you do not retype them.
Which languages does Fami understand?+
Fami understands English, Chinese, Malay, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German and Dutch. You can write to Fami in the language your family uses, and Fami replies in the same language.
How much does Fami cost?+
Fami is in paid beta at a promotional price of SGD 8.88 per month. You can stop at any time. If you are not happy with Fami, you get a full refund.
Can I see, export or delete what Fami knows about me?+
Yes. Ask Fami in chat, “what do you know about me?”, and it will tell you what it holds for you. You can ask Fami to edit, move or remove any detail in a plain message, and you can request an export or deletion of your data at any time.
Does Fami work with my calendar?+
Fami connects to Google Calendar today, if you choose to connect it. Outlook and iCal support are in progress. If you do not connect a calendar, Fami keeps your confirmed events in FamiCal, its own calendar, so nothing is lost. You can connect a calendar later at any time.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?+
Fami is in beta and your feedback shapes it. Say “feedback”, “issue” or “new idea” in the chat and Fami will take it down, including a screenshot if you send one.
